The Latter-day Saint Student Association is a religious-based student organization for members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as "Mormons."
The first chapter of LDSSA was founded in 1960, and chapters exist at any university where enough Latter-Day Saint students to form a student organization attend. Every LDS student is automatically a member of LDSSA, and non-Mormons may join by enrolling at the Institute of Religion located on the bottom floor at 596 Willey Street.
At WVU, the officers of LDSSA are WVU students who are also serving on the Institute Council, and our weekly meetings serve both LDSSA and Institute Council. The current president and vice president are Heather Beeseck and Steven Cox. Our faculty advisor is Jeff Skousen, a professor in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. For more information about institute and LDSSA, you can email Heather at hbeeseck@mix.wvu.edu at any time or contact the Institute at the phone number listed to the left during business hours.
