Announcements

Due to WVU's spring break, there will be no FHE or institute classes this week. Also, the institute building is not to be used on Monday due to carpet cleaning. Elder Clemmer will be in town, so the building will be open during the day Tuesday - Friday.

Looking ahead:
  • Next Sunday is Easter, so there will be no 5th Sunday dinner after church. The tentative plan for Sunday school is for the new bishop to address us in a combined class (says Shane), and Relief Society and Priesthood will also be combined.
  • Online registration for the Jackson's Mill YSA Conference ends on April 5th. The cost to register at the door will be $30.
  • General Conference is April 6th and 7th. The tradition is pizza on Saturday and dinner on Sunday in between conference sessions.
  • The Jackson's Mill YSA Conference will be April 19th-21st. It's going to be awesome so you should come.
  • On April 27th, there will be a super fun spring activity not otherwise specified. Mark your calendars.

Ward Temple Trip

We had a ward temple trip on Saturday. There were about twenty people in attendance, but only a few stopped for pictures while the rest of us set out to find food. Somehow, they still got to the food before we did. They are true winners.

This guy was the biggest winner of the day. Rumor has it that he spent over seven hours in the temple.

Our Newest Members

Rachel and Karriel entered into their first covenant with their Heavenly Father today by being baptized. Rachel was baptized by a member of our ward, and Karriel was baptized by one of the missionaries serving here. It was the first time performing a baptism for both of them, so the day was quadruple special. Both of the girls gave awesome testimonies, at least five hymns were sung, and one of the sister missionaries needed some tissues. It was a great day. :)

Unofficial Institute Temple Trip

I guess since we're going to the temple again tomorrow I should get on posting the pictures from two weeks ago.

Thanks to Aaron for this picture.  :)

Meggie and Katelyn found a station in the visitors' center that let them color a temple. It was "super." :)

Cafe Rio is a requirement for a successful temple trip. It's pretty much East Coast Mormon heaven.

Hot Chocolate Missionary Booth + Meet the Mascot

It's been a busy week! Wednesday we had a missionary booth at the free speech circle on campus, where we gave out free hot chocolate to students. Today we had a special Friday forum with a steak dinner and a talk from a very well-known member of LDSSA.

The elders make pretty good chefs in a pinch. ;)

Elder L. is not a fan of having his picture taken. :)

The week isn't over yet! Karriel and Rachel are both being baptized tonight, and the Morgantown University Ward is going to the temple tomorrow.
